Overview
The Department of Information Science and Engineering was established in 1999 and offers a 4-year B.E. programme in Information Science and Engineering with a sanctioned intake of 180. Backed by qualified faculty and well-equipped computing laboratories, the department trains students in information and communication technologies, software engineering and emerging computing domains. It runs a recognised Research Centre (established 2020) with active research in image processing and pattern recognition, wireless sensor and ubiquitous networks, vehicular ad-hoc networks, IoT and cloud computing, and data mining and machine/deep learning. The B.E. programme has been accredited by the NBA, and the department maintains strong industry linkages, internships and a vibrant student association.
