Student Development Programme — Excellence in Language: A Doorway to Global Opportunities (25 October 2025)
A one-day Student Development Programme organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in the BEC Auditorium for all B.E. first-year students. The resource person Dr. G. K. Badiger, Principal, Government First Grade Degree College & PG Centre, Dharwad, shared powerful insights on the role of language in shaping one's personality, seizing opportunities and excelling across domains. Students were motivated and enriched by the thoughts shared.

- Participants: 880 first-year B.E. students
- Objectives: Enhance communication and academic & professional language skills; promote multilingual and intercultural communication; inspire students to explore languages beyond the classroom and understand their role in culture, identity and global citizenship
- Outcome: Improved language proficiency, professional writing, teamwork and public-speaking confidence, fostering a lifelong commitment to personal and professional growth

Student Development Programme — Engineering Your Future: Developing Backup Plans for Engineering Grads (30–31 October 2025)
A two-day Student Development Programme organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for B.E. V & VII semester and MCA students in the BEC Gallery Hall. The resource person Mr. Deepak Bannur, UPSC/KPSC mentor and Ops & Strategy Topper (IAS), Bengaluru, walked students through the framework, assessment and syllabus blueprint of the Civil Services examinations, with interactions, doubt clarification, mock tests and mock interviews, and guidance on aligning college life with examination preparation.
