  • Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (SDP)

    28 October 2025 — Organised by the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering in association with the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among students, introducing them to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem. 62 students participated.

  • Sustainable Supply Chain Issues and Challenges for the 21st Century (Seminar)

    31 October 2025 — Expert seminar organised by the Departments of Mechanical Engineering Sciences on the latest trends, best practices and strategic frameworks for developing and managing sustainable supply chains amid climate change, resource scarcity and evolving regulatory frameworks.

  • New Energy Vehicles (SDP)

    14 November 2025 — Student Development Program organised by the Department of Automobile Engineering in association with the Departments of Mechanical and Industrial and Production Engineering, focusing on current developments in electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), fuel cell (hydrogen) and alternate fuels. 85 students participated; chief guest Dr. Niranjan Hiremath, HOD, Mechatronics, Reva University, Bengaluru.

  • SAP for Mechanical Engineering, Part-1: Finance Management (SDP)

    17-21 November 2025 — One-week program familiarising 30 students with SAP's financial tools for cost control, budgeting and project tracking, bridging technical knowledge and business management in mechanical engineering.

  • Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (SDP)

    27 March 2026 — Practical-oriented session organised by the Departments of Mechanical Engineering Sciences covering symbols, datums, tolerance zones and their real-time applications in design, manufacturing and quality control. Resource person: Mr. Gitan Ginde, Founder Director of Ganitharth Technologies and an alumnus of the IPE Department.

  • Ph.D. Awarded — Mr. Mahesh Ratnappa Latti

    1 August 2025 — Research Scholar Mr. Mahesh Ratnappa Latti (2BA18PIP03) was awarded a Ph.D. degree in “Analysis of Key Supply Chain Drivers in Medium & Small Scale Industries (MSMEs)” under the guidance of Prof. Dr. C. M. Javalagi at the department research centre.

  • Book Release — “Productivity Management of Apparel Industry in India”

    2 June 2025 — The book “Productivity Management of Apparel Industry in India — A Systems Perspective” authored by Dr. S. M. Pharsiyawar was released through LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing.

  • Workshop on “Out of Box Thinking for Problem Solving” at B.V.S. Polytechnic

    24 February 2025 — Dr. S. M. Pharsiyawar conducted a workshop for final-year students at B.V.S. Polytechnic, Bagalkote, and served as the Chief Guest of the ceremony.

  • Lecture on “Personality Development” at B.V.S. Polytechnic

    25 September 2025 — Dr. S. M. Pharsiyawar delivered a lecture during the Career Guidance Program for 3rd-year students at B.V.S. Polytechnic, Bagalkote.

  • Treasure Hunt at SAMYUTI, Chanakya University

    IPE students participated in the Treasure Hunt organised at SAMYUTI by Chanakya University — an interactive event that tested problem-solving skills, teamwork and presence of mind, requiring teams to decode puzzles and solve riddles across the campus.
