The Department of Computer Applications was started in the
year 1997, and is one of the pioneers in offering
Master of Computer Applications programme in northern
part of Karnataka. It is housed in a separate
IT building,with state-of-the-art computer centers. It has received
substantial grants from AICTE New Delhi, for
infrastructure development and research activities.
The department has well-qualified and enthusiastic faculty
members who provide personal care to the students.Other experienced
faculty members from the academia and industries are also
invited to teach specialized subjects of MCA. The computer centers of the department are well maintained and constantly upgraded to include new systems and software tools to keep in pace with the changing technology.
The department conducts 2-hour training exclusively for MCA students every week along with the placement training provided by the college placement cell.Our students are placed in various esteemed software companies like,Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Oracle Corporation,
Mphasis Technologies,HCL,K-2T Technologies,Robosoft,Tally Solutions
Caritor Technologies, Satyam Online, etc.
